Henry was born in 1891 at Bath to Major Henry Wall Price of Ashton Under Lyne. He was educated at Huish Grammar School, Taunton, entered Manchester University in 1909 as a student of architecture and went on to pursue a career in that field. He married Fanny Gertrude Bolton on 23rd June 1915.
Henry served in the University Officer Training Corps from November 1909 to September 1912. He was wounded during his war service and was later killed in action during the early days of the Battle of the Somme.
