Killed in action 3rd May 1917.
Remembered on the Arras Memorial, France.

Charles has not be found in the available Tech registers. The 1901 Census reveals a Charles Bibby, then 22, (born 1879) was an actor and boarded at 55 Wandle Road, Croydon, and a Stretford-born man of that name enlisted at Wandsworth. Charles was a member of the Gaiety Theatre, Manchester. He had previously been a member of Miss Horniman’s company and toured Canada. He married Miss Hilda Bruce-Potter.
In November 1915 Charles joined the Royal Fusiliers and at some point was invalided home with an arm wound which had caused some nerve damage. He was Mentioned in Despatches, and served on the Western Front.
