Former student of electrical engineering.
Arthur, born in 1889 at Sale, was the third and youngest son of F. Charles Ogden, a salesman. Arthur was educated at Sale High School for Boys and Rossall,. He entered Manchester University in 1907 and gained a B.Sc. Technology in Electrical Engineering in 1910. At the outbreak of war he was employed by the Lancashire Dynamo Company in Trafford Park. In response to an invitation from the Electrical Engineers Society to join the Royal Naval Division Engineers Arthur enlisted in September 1914. He died while serving in Gallipoli.
