Arthur was born in 1893, to James Bradshaw of Southport. He enrolled as a special day student on an Engineering Apprentice Course at The Tech for the 1910-11 session. Records show that he resided in Openshaw and was an engineering apprentice with a local steam hammer manufacturer called B & S Massey. He progressed to year two of the course in 1911-12.
He served and died in Gallipoli.
