Former student of dentistry.
Norman, born at West Didsbury in 1892, was the son of L.C. Evans a Salford Town Clerk. He attended South Manchester Preparatory School, a school affiliated with Manchester Grammar School, and then Blundells School in Tiverton, Devon. Norman entered the University of Manchester in 1909 as a student of dentistry and was a member of the University Officer Training Corps from 1909 to 1914. He enlisted in one of the University/Public Schools Battalions of the Royal Fusiliers, but died of Tuberculosis while in training at the Mendip Hills.
