Arthur Page

Private 1695, 1st/7th Battalion Manchester Regiment

Killed in action on Friday 4th June 1915, age 18.

Remembered on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

Relationship to the university unknown.

 

Athur was born around 1897 at Droylsden to James C. and Edith H. Page. In 1901 the family, including James age 2 and Sussanah age 9, was living in Salford. Arthur’s father was a shopkeeper.

Arthur arrived in the Balkans on 6th March 1915, and was killed at Gallipoli three months later.
