William Eddy

Corporal 73894, 94th Battery, 147th Brigade Royal Field Artillery.

Died 1st November 1918, age 24.

Buried at Cambrai East Military Cemetery.

Former student of The Tech.

 

William was born in 1894, second child and eldest son of Charles and Kate Eddy of 49 Didsbury Road, Heaton Norris. He was an Electrotyper with Taylor, Garnett and Evans and Co, Reddish – Printers, and at 16 enrolled in 1911-12 as a Student on Preliminary Course at The Tech. He served on the Western Front.
