Victor was the son of W.B. Roberts of Lymm. He was born in 1885, attended Warrington Grammar School and entered Manchester University in 1905 as a student of medicine. He enlisted on 10th December 1915 and died near Arras in May 1918 while serving as a gunner with 4th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment Machine Gun Corps. He left affects woth £8683 19s 1d to Arthur James Willett, a solicitor, Robert Houle French, a doctor, and John Horner Hargreaves, a sapper with the Royal Engineers. Victor does not appear to be recorded on the Commonwealth War Graves database.
